Bag Tag

Okay this is for my GOOD Friend Liz...here is what you do:

1. Take a picture of your bag (Purse, diaper bag, brief case) or whatever you use to haul your stuff around in.

2. Take a photo of everything in your bag, NO cleaning out first!

3. Bag tag five people.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

We have had some beautiful weather the last few days, sunny and mid 70s. Leah has actually managed some beach time yesterday!
Anyway this morning it looked like it was going to be another beautiful day and then suddenly it started to rain.. just a shower though and when I looked outside there it was right in our front yard beside the barn.... a beautiful rainbow of course i grabbed my camera and took a couple of photos, the only ones awake to see it were Fitch and me and I dont even think he noticed he was too intent on making his own little puddle! No rainbows there!

Meet George

This a photo of Rachel and George, we have an abundance of feral cats, Jenn manages to rescue some and domesticate them and find them new homes, his litter mates are Hermoine, and Fred hmmm wonder where those names came from, so if anyones needs a kitten we actually have about 7 right now.

Hello Molly Jane

Molly is a Beagle rescue she is two years old and very sweet and lovable, Fitch is not so sure about the sweet and lovable bit, at present we are just fostering her who knows she may find a new home with us! At present we are all adjusting very well at least the four legged ones are. We have discovered that someone has taught her some tricks, she can sit on command and shake hands and she loves to play fetch, she comes when called thats a real plus Fitch comes when called only if there are no cats around to chase!

The Purple Iris

The Iris's are blooming a little late this year, they usually bloom right around the anniversary of my Moms death which is February, so now I have to share the Iris story with one and all, sorry if you have already heard it and for those of you have not, here it is in print!
Sometime in the 1980's my Mom and Dad made a visit home to England when they returned Dad had a small clipping of an Iris root with them which he planted in the front yard on Jeanne street and over the years the Iris's blossomed and multiplied in other words they thrived in Virginia and took over the front flower bed, dad dug some up, splitting them is whats its called and passed some on to me which I dutifully bought home to our house in Woodard's Mill and planted them in a flower bed by the pool, well they multiplied all right but they never bloomed until the February my Mother passed away and then one day soon after the funeral I was washing dishes and color caught my eye I had to take a closer look and sure enough the Iris's were blooming, early for Iris's but I was not complaining for some reason the Iris's bought great comfort and I could see them from the kitchen window. Every year after they would start to bloom around the end of February and continue through early April.
When we moved some came along with us and are blooming here on Benefit Road. A wonderful reminder of times gone by.

Conference Weekend

Ryan and Grandpa watching General Conference-Sunday Session.

The really nice thing about having dish tv is that we get to watch Conference from the comfort of our den....Jenny, David and Ryan came over and watched with us, it was a fantastic conference, President Monson was awesome! All the speakers were great.

We had homemade BBQ for lunch followed by brownies or though I think some of us had it the other way round!

It was a great Sunday, Jenn and the kids joined us for part of the day, its really fun to have little ones around again.

For the first time in a long time I took notes in my Journal I used to do that all the time but somewhere over the last few years I had gotten away from doing that. I like to be able to compare what I have noted with whats in the Ensign when it comes out and I have not been able to do that for a while.

Of course I had to get the camera out and take a few pics of Ryan he is growing so fast, time goes by way too fast hard to believe that he is 3 months old and getting so big! Its wonderful to hear baby giggles!
