Yesterdays activites

Jenny, David and Ryan had to leave, David had classes in the evening and Chris, Kandice and family came down for the day, the first photo is of Chris and Isabella, the 2nd is of Jordan and Fitch with Adam, Jordan is giving Fitch boogy boarding lessons, he was fine until the waves came and then he decided that he trusted his own four feet better then the board!

Before Jenny and David left we made the trip over to the lighthouse, below is Adam and Rachael, this was such a cute bench we could not pass by a picture moment, I need to crop out Charlies arm though.
Later after playing on the beach, we took some pictures of Chloe, Elijah and Isabella, Chris had to leave for work tomorrow, (Friday) but Chloe and Elijah stayed with us. Tomorrow is clean up and head home day with a little beach time thrown in and maybe a ride behind the dunes on the ATVs.

Sun, Sand and Surf

Yes we are still here and will be until Friday night, I have lost track of what day it is and what time it is, it is so wonderful!
David and Ryan playing at the beach, and our house flying its colors
Rachael getting ready to ride the ATV with her dad, isn't she the cutest, everyone loves to ride the ATVs on the beach
Charlie climbed to the top of the old stranded buoy, I cant believe he did this...the buoy was washed up on the beach about 4 years ago and has become a permanent landmark, its about halfway between where you leave the hard surface road and our house.

Summer Fun

My original goal was to blog a little each day but already I am way behind, these were taken two days ago so you can see I am already getting behind! This is Leah's beach art later she added 2008.
below Charlie and Adam checking out the surf

Rachael taking it easy with a bag of Hawaiian chips, sounds good to me, Chips, sun, surf and sand the perfect blend
Ryan's little spot, David dug him a hole and he pretty much stayed put at 6 mths of age wheres he gonna go, he even took a nap.
All in all a great day with family.
I really do love the beach!

Kite Flying @ the Beach House

We arrived yesterday, for one whole week of ocean, sun and sand!
Charlie and the kids found an old kite in the storage chest and took it for a test run just as the sun was saying goodnight.

What a Smart Baby!

Last night we babysat our youngest grandson, Ryan, I say we, I think I got to hold him once maybe twice! Rachel bought a book over and with a little help Ryan took over, see isn't he smart? Leah did most of the babysitting we discovered that Ryan likes to have his back rubbed (a true Anderson) and he loved playing with cousins Jordan and Rachel. Of course when he got tired and cranky guess who got to take over....Grandma of course.

Indian Festival

This morning we went to the Indian Festival at Chesapeake City Park

I was able to get some okay shots but it was so hot, high 90s and no shade to be found anywhere, if its like this in June what is it going to be like in August? Anyway we only stayed for a little over an hour and then we called it quits but the Pow Wow was still going strong tomorrow is supposed to get over 100 degrees and its a two day festival, I know they must have been feeling the heat too.

Gone Fishing

Saturday was a busy fun day, after the Pirate Festival we came home did some chores and then met up with Jenny, David & Ryan for fishing on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. We caught two fish both are pictured here! This was Charlies big catch which he ate right away and David caught a REAL ONE! Which we throw back it was a small as in tiny croaker.

Ahoy Maties

We spent Saturday at Blackbeards Pirate Festival in Hampton, it was a fun day, I enjoyed all the costumes some were really cool and some were alittle on the tacky side, but all in all it was a great place to be with the camera and the kids enjoyed it. It was hot, hot, hot I think the hottest day of the year so far! For the rest of the photos check out my photos link to the right.
