Pirates & Potatoes
This past Saturday I was really looking forward to seeing some pirates! at the Elizabeth City Potato Festival, unfortunately there were only a couple of pirates and some fries! Disappointed? You bet! There were plenty of old cars and vendors selling stuff even homemade bags to store potatoes in but the only potatoes we saw were french fries.
It was also very hot so we made our way over to the Museum of the Albermarle and surprise its a wonderful museum and free! Well they suggest a donation which we were happy to give just to get cool!

Landons Blessing Day
Yesterday was Landon's Blessing day, what a wonderful day, Charlie gave the blessing and did a great job, the blessing was beautiful, very spiritual this little man has a wonderful life ahead of him!
Sarah, Ed and family drove in from Indiana, late Friday night, actually early Saturday morning by the time they arrived and stayed for the Blessing and were back on the road for Indiana by 2:30pm Sunday, so thankful for the sacrifice that they made to be here for this special day, its not easy making a 12 hour drive (one way) with 3 little ones.
It was so nice to have almost everyone together at Church for Landon's special day, wish everyone could have been there with us.

I am so grateful for my children and grandchildren, they bless our lives everyday. I am especially grateful for Leah and the choices she is making for her and Landon's future.

Later that day everyone came over for dinner it is so much fun to see and have little kids around, cousins and friends playing together

Walk
Leah and I walk pretty much every day, weather permitting, lately its been a little too hot to go during the day so we have been going late afternoon, early evening, today I decided to take my camera and a lens I dont get to use very often..its my 80-300mm lens, its big and its heavy and takes 2 hands usually to get a decent shot, today I surprised myself all of the pics except for one were taken with 1 hand, I had the dogs in the other.
I decided to "document" our walks with pictures of things we see, of course there's none of me, I had the camera maybe next time I'll pass it off to Leah...so some things we see on our walk....down the driveway and back.
